Black & White
Two colours in opposition, a frame to bring the harmony.
Black and white images are impactful due to their simplicity. A splash of colour is sometimes called for but often it looks better to keep the monochromatic theme. Gold and silver on round the edges can add depth and impact to the piece.
In the case of oil on canvas or depending on the quality of the paper used for printing, we offset some of the mattness by using laquered hand-finished mouldings given a haloed sheen effect. This will also help create some contrast against matt painted or grey painted walls.
